Gold Star Systems Inc. (Gold Star) originally started by delivering C-band (big dish) cable solutions to apartments in 1987. This included some of the earliest contracts with HBO, Showtime and ESPN for private cable programming, which continued for some years. Gold Star began delivering solutions in the hospitality industry in the early 1990’s, which included a Pay-per-View Video-on-Demand product. In 1997, Gold Star began to deliver hospitality free-to-guest and private business programming with DIRECTV. Gold Star has continued its relationship with DIRECTV and delivers high quality HDTV and streaming solutions to hundreds of properties in the hospitality, senior living, health care, office, bar and restaurant business across the country.

Gold Star’s DIRECTV certifications include COM3000, AEP (Advanced Entertainment Platform) and DRE (DIRECTV Residential Experience for Hotels).
